I tend to avoid the mainstream media like the plague. I see the mainstream media as a cancer that spreads anxiety and depression to the masses. Ninety percent of it is about War, Murder, most of which we don't need to hear about in the first place. They never report the random acts of kindness that happen all the time all over the globe. By reporting only the negative I think they seriously are delivering a horrifically skewed view of our world.
Don't get me wrong, our world is far from perfect but I think we are a lot better off than the news would lead you to believe. It would be nice if there was just one news program that reported more positive than negative.
