Since switching to Movable Type from Wordpress, I haven't had too much trouble with comment spam. It wasn't just the switch to Movable Type, I also setup mod_spamhaus.
A few weeks ago, however, I started getting barraged with tons of bogus comments.
Now I've set all my blogs to use the Movable Type CAPTCHA plugin and that seems to have fixed the problem.
Even though I'm not burdened with filtering them, my servers still are. The spammers are still POSTing their comment spam without the captcha. What an annoying waste!
