I’m finally starting to understand Movable Type templates, and I really like what I’m discovering. The link to file feature is great, but unfortunately it doesn’t carry through on cloned blogs. I’m slowly making my way through most of my blogs and linking the templates to files. Slow and steady.
Global templates are awesome too. I’m quite pleased to learn that its easy to override a global template with a blog specific template. I was also very pleased to learn that global templates still use the blog specific publish path as a starting point for relative file include references.
