I finally figured out how Movable Type connects assets with markup. I’ve been manually doing this for some Wordpress converted blogs, but that’s not a smart way to work. Eventually I’ll automate the process, but in the meantime, so I don’t keep forgetting, this is the basic tag that is needed:

Easy enough.
