Blogging Tools

The main thing you need to blog is a blogging service. You can either set one up yourself, if use one of the many free blogging systems available online, kind of like the many free email services available online. Similarly, there are fee-based blogging systems.

I first started with Blogger.com, by publishing the “Are you going to buy that?” Chain Store Marketing Blog, and then I switched to Wordpress. I like both Blogger and Wordpress, but now I’m increasingly using Movable Type Open Source. Its quite nice and extremely flexible.
