Marketwatch is reporting that Yahoo has acquired Associated Content for almost $100 million.
That is awesome for Associated content. According to the Marketwatch article, it was founded only six years ago and features contributions from several hundred thousand writers.
I'm confused though - why shut down GeoCities and then purchase a company like this?
