Google recently emailed me about their Google Ad Manager (GAM) service to inform me that they are making changes to it.
Apparently, they are rolling out DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP), and “upgrading” all GAM accounts to DFP accounts. I use quotes around “upgrading” as I’d like to actually try out DFP before I consider it an upgrade.
I like GAM. Its a little obtuse for some situations, but it works really when in the situations I’ve used it.
I’m curious how this relates to DART… seeking some information about it reveals that DFP is already a part of DART, an umbrella of services one might say.
In terms of alternatives, there are a few, though I haven’t tried them:
- AdTECH Helios IQ (used by AOL)
- OpenX (open source solution)
- APT from Yahoo!
Does Microsoft have this type of solution? Can’t seem to find one…
