Clashes between the traditional news media and Google have been on my radar for some time - and I'm quite surprised at the new service from Google labs: Fast Flip.
Instead of just headlines, Google Fast Flip allows readers to news websites page by page, quickly flipping from one page to the next. I can't imagine how any publisher would be happy about this.
Also, there are skyscraper ads displayed to the right of the page flipper. I wonder - does the revenue from these ads go to the publishers?
I have a feeling that Fast Flip is going to fuel the flames of discord between Google and the traditional news media. It should be an interesting bit of news to watch!
