Advertising for Advertisements (No Mars Pictures)

I really don't like advertisements for more advertisements.

At CNN, I looked at a picture of a crater on Mars, and noticed an advertisement offering pictures of Mars from Webcrawler. I clicked on it. I was taken to a page with more ads for pictures from Mars. Still interested, I clicked on one that said sponsored by Ask.com.

Guess what came next? More ads, still no pictures from Mars. I clicked on another ad from Peeplo, starting to give up hope, until finally I saw the original ad from Webcrawler on the Peeplo site where I knew it was hopeless.

An advertising loop. I'm sorry I ever witnessed such an atrocity. And I had such high hopes for contextual, relevant advertising. Tsk tsk.
