Facebook

I was never really a big fan of Facebook. I thought myspace had a better, more organized system of customizing your page, but when all my friends went to college and made the switch to facebook I felt the need to follow suit.

Some of the applications they feature on facebook are cool, while others are gimmicky and don't always work properly. Other's are chocked full of spam and advertisements. So all in all, the popular applications feature is a mixed bag. You have the bumper sticker app which has caught on like wild fire, but you also have plenty of pointless applications that take up space.

They just redesigned facebook, and I have to say I don't like it at all, it seems unorganized and messy. I think they have a lot of unnecessary features. I rarely stray beyond the bare bones feature of posting on somebodies wall. It does a good job at connecting people and setting up friend networks, but everything outside of the communication field is not quite as efficient. On another positive note, it seems like they take their members privacy very seriously , and do a good job of protecting everyones information.
