I'm a sloppy typer, so I'm often finding myself looking at a page I don't like - Agoga.com. To block this, I've setup an outgoing rule in my firewall to reject request to it's ip: 72.51.27.58.
Bye bye agoga.
Another thought, I could imagine a block list for avoiding useless, fake websites like sedo and friends. Something similar to Dan's Guardian or similar. A quick look over their site does indicate that they are using DNS block lists.
Hi Rob, I like the idea behind opendns, but I'm wary of a filtered DNS system. I may eventually try to setup a mydns + dnsmasq private equivalent of opendns though, thanks for the idea.
You can use OpenDNS.com to automatically correct .cm types back to .com unless you are trying to visit a real .cm website.
I've had spotty success with this, but it might be worth a shot for you.
