I'm trying to put my Wordpress sitemaps for Google in a sub-directory. But will it work... let's find out. Nope - the sitemaps have to be in the top most directory. That's a pain. :-(

Hi Marco Richter, You are absolutely right. I use the sitemaps plugin, and one time my sitemap got corrupted and the number of pages indexed in Google plummeted. Speaking of Google, I searched for the text of your comment and found an exact copy of it that you posted on another blog, so I deleted the one you posted here. Please don't paste in comments.
