Chitika is an interesting competitor to Google's AdSense. Does it work as well? I'm not sure, I've only used it to a small degree on a few low traffic websites. For the first six months, the program hasn't been too problematic, so I'm trying it on a few more sites. We'll see what happens from here. Because I use Adsense on most of my sites, I have to stay within their Terms of Service (TOS). To do so, I found this page which says the most important thing to keep in check is the contextual ads exclusivity of the Google Adsense agreement. You can turn off Chitika's contextual powers with this javascript code:
