I had a little epiphany yesterday - that the right way to use affiliate links is with specific people in mind. Don't fret: I'll explain. Since I love technology, I am always scoping out and testing the new products out on the market. Not everyone is like me, and they look to me for advice when making technology investments. I can help them out by referring them to vendors and products that I've had good experiences with through the use of affiliate links, and the vendor will pay a small percentage of that amount of the transaction for the referral. This is an easily facilitated process, as you can email a link to the page with the affiliate link directly to the person who is requesting advice on which technology purchase to make. That is much better than putting an affiliate ad out there and hoping someone clicks on it.
